Grandmaster Ichikawa began his training in the Chuck Norris system in 1970. While he had many teachers who include Chuck Norris, he considers Pat Johnson to be his primary mentor and source of inspiration.

He is the founder and current head of the American Tang Soo Do Alliance and is owner and chief instructor of the T.O. / Westlake Karate Studio.
